Thanks to people like you, Willie's Wagon has blown away local records, and we hope you'll help us propel it nationally. And the best part is that you really only have to give us a minute or two to make a big difference.
Raising Money for Cancer Camp
Over $25,000 Raised For Children's Charities So Far!
Along with topping the Best Sellers list at Barnes and Noble and Borders in Davenport, we have sold hundreds of books in beauty shops, museum stores and schools where teachers (who love the book) are inviting us to read it to students.
From October through December, we raised more than $25,000 for children's charities, including donations to send kids to cancer camp, which is a camp where medical staff help sick and recovering kids with cancer have an experience they otherwise would not be able to. A portion of future sales will continue to support this and Gilda's Club school outreach program. Willie's Wagon is my first children's book. It was inspired by a brave little boy who battled cancer for years. It is a heart-warming story that is inspiring. It teaches compassion, caring, and understanding. And, perhaps the best part, it's fun to read for kids and adults. I can't tell you how many parents and grandparents have told me that it is their child's (mostly ages 4-10) favorite book.
We Need Your Help
Three Ways You Can Help
Now I need your help with spreading the word. My Web site (www.willieswagon.com) has done an incredible amount of business. To get national attention, we need to hit the big boys. Sales-and more important-your reviews on the book retailer sites are critical to getting the book noticed in Web searches for people like you trying to find a book with a special message for your children, family or friends.
There are three different ways you can help:
1) BUY MY BOOK: Most of you have already done this, but you might know someone who is interested. You can get a copy at Amazon (my preference), Barnes & Noble, or Borders.com.
